Did you know there are actual rehabilitation centres for tiny birdies who hurt themselves? Did learning that make your heart grow three sizes too? My cat, Tofino, decided he was a hunter one evening this past summer and swatted this lil dude right out of the sky - so off to the vet we went!! I don't know what happened to him, but I'm grateful he spent a few hours being snuggled by someone who noticed his chest feathers splay into an abstract masterpiece and his eyelids look like teensy slivers of the moon.
